About Trellis

The internet company that lives where you do.

We’ve been building this network out of Rohnert Park since April 2023, and when fire season hits or the power goes out, the people answering the phone are in the same counties you are.

Our story

Started in April 2023, in Rohnert Park.

Trellis started with a simple, annoying fact: a friend in Sonoma Valley was paying $120 a month for DSL speeds, because the cable company never bothered to wire his road and the only wireless option around was barely better than nothing.

We were sure it could be done properly. Most wireless ISPs are built by people who came up through IT, not radio, so they ship something that clears the low bar of “better than no internet at all” and stop there. We come at it the other way, as RF and systems engineers, which means we care about the things that actually decide whether your connection holds up: how a tower is sited, how it handles weather and load, what happens at 7 p.m. when the whole neighborhood is online at once.

The point was never to be the scrappy local alternative you settle for. It was to build wireless good enough that you’d pick it over the big incumbents on the merits, in town or out of it, and finally have a way off the near-monopoly most of the North Bay is stuck with. Today we’re a regional network across Sonoma, Napa, Marin, Lake, and Mendocino counties, and we’re still growing.

If we cover your address, you're usually online in about a week.
